About Ashley
Hi, I’m Ashley. I’m a mom, teacher, and midwife. I’ve had all three of my children at home, taught over 100 families natural childbirth education, and attended over 100 unmedicated births. The majority of my clients are first-time parents who understand that staying home for their care minimizes unnecessary medical intervention and maximizes their family’s experience in the process.
I approach care with a “more is more” practice style – more investment in your health, more conversation about your options, and more support in your parenting decisions throughout the childbearing year. Alternately, I approach birth as a normal process and see my attendance as “there for the rare”. I happily take an attentive backseat, ready to monitor yours and your baby’s well-being, provide labor support, and make recommendations as invited or needed.
I know that when women are supported, dads are prepared, and families are empowered, birth can be nothing short of amazing. And I know of no better place for this perfect combination of circumstances than in the comfort of your own home. Having a home birth changed my life, and my hope is that it changes yours too.
