Ashley set a standard in my mind for what I expect when I get care. She made me feel calm and confident in my ability to birth at home. I felt like I was able to have autonomy and talk about the decisions I feel are most important for us. Ashley was always a listening ear, she didn’t insert her opinions unless we asked for them. I wanted a caregiver that was completely involved, but more hands off and that was exactly what Ashley was.
